Bibiana Agudelo
Bibiana Agudelo has a law degree from Universidad del Rosario in Bogota, Colombia (1999) and an LLM in Intellectual Property from Franklin Pierce Law Center (today, University of New Hampshire) (2000).
Bibiana’s trademark and unfair competition practice extends back 20 years and has covered the US, Latin America, and the world. Bibiana worked as a Senior Associate in Baker & McKenzie (6 years) and as Trademarks Director in Olarte Moure (3 years) in Colombia. Her experience as an IP lawyer has also covered Mexico, as head of the Foreign Trademarks Division at Arochi & Lindner (2.5 years) and Trademark Counsel for the Andean, Central America, and Caribbean regions at PepsiCo, Inc. (3 years). Prior to this, Bibiana worked for various law firms in the US Northeast, including Venable, Baker & McKenzie, and Crowell & Moring. Her experience in the U.S. includes management of US and worldwide trademark portfolios; drafting of technology licensing agreements, video game developing, and distribution agreements; preparation of trademark licensing strategies, IP protection, and implementation of trademark and copyright enforcement and anti-counterfeiting activities; preparation of due diligence reports, corporate deals (mergers and acquisitions), and maintenance of corporate books for US entities; coordination of strategies and enforcement of antitrust guidelines and processes during pre-merger activities of large US corporations; assistance in antitrust guidance to trade associations. Bibiana is an Associate member of INTA and participant of the INTA Brands Restrictions Committee. She is also a member of ASIPI and AIPF, and acts as a member of the Board of Directors at AIPF.
