Jose Landivar
Jose joins Coates IP from Techtronic Industries (TTI), where he was its Trademark and Brand Protection Counsel advising the business on all aspects of trademark law, including U.S. and international prosecution, portfolio management, disputes, anticounterfeiting, and trademark licensing. Prior to TTI, Jose was an associate at the international IP law firm, Ladas & Parry, assisting clients ranging from multinational corporations to small and medium-sized enterprises in a variety of industries from paints and coatings to fitness and wellness to payment processing software. Jose is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School where he graduated with distinction in Intellectual Property, Media, and Information Law, and
served as the President of the Latin American Law Students Association. Jose is a member of the International Trademark Association (INTA) Anti-counterfeiting Committee and the Copyright & Literary Property Committee at the New York City Bar. He is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey and lives in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In his spare time, Jose’s interests include Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, weighlifting, all genres of music (especially dance and pop), and walking his dog Theo. |
